| Description: | Are you intimidated by all those funny little sticks used to make socks? It's really not hard to do at all! Learn the ins and outs of making socks in this building blocks workshop, including turning a heel, shaping the gusset and toe, and grafting with Kitchener stitch.
NOTE: You must be experienced in working with double-pointed needles to participate in this class. If you wish to take this class, but have never worked with double-pointed needles, please talk with Ellen. |

| Description: | Lila's Cardigan is a simple sweater, knit from the top down with a raglan yoke all in one piece - no seaming! Techniques in the pattern include casting on, basic knitting and purling, and increases and decreases, making it the perfect project for a beginning knitter. |

You'll learn how to pick up stitches, read/follow a printed pattern, create a variety of stitch patterns, create applied i-cord and ruffles, and more...and, when you've completed your wrap, you'll have a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! |

| Description: | Join us as we get a head start on our gift knitting for the 2010 holiday season! Each session will feature a terrific project idea that is sure to please someone on your gift list. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn some new techniques, too, including knitting lace and cables, modular knitting, using slip stitches to create unique stitch patterns, and more! (We invite you to choose which sessions you wish to join, but ask that you please preregister for each one, since our space is limited to 8 participants per workshop.) |

Bring your "boo-boo" to Serendipity and we'll do our best to figure out what went wrong. Please note that this time is set aside for making quick fixes that take 10 minutes or less to complete. We will gladly schedule a private lesson for you if you wish to learn a specific technique presented in a pattern or book. |

We'll cover casting on, the knit and purl stitches, and binding off. (This is also a great "refresher" course for once-upon-a-time knitters.) |
