What exactly is a Threadventure? That’s a great question – and I’m ever so glad you asked! 🙂
Grab your favorite cuppa and I’ll tell you all about it.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary states that an adventure is “an exciting or remarkable experience”. I don’t know about you, but I’m always up for new and exciting experiences – especially when it comes to needlepoint! 😉
Well, technically, it’s a virtual adventure, but it’s going to be so, so, soooo much fun that, by the time it’s over, you’re going to feel like you’ve really and truly been around the world.
I’ll bet you’ve already figured out that it must have something to do with thread. (Tee hee!)
You see, I was working on some goodies for inside The Stitcher’s Club recently and it occurred to me that you might like to have some ideas for different threads and stitches for your projects, too, so I hatched a plan.
They have a terrific selection of threads – everything from fuzzy novelties to luscious silks. In fact, if you’re looking for a specific texture or fiber, they probably have it. (I carried their threads in my brick and mortar shop for more than 14 years – and I’ve stitched with them even longer than that, so, yes – I’m a HUGE fan!)
A couple of weeks ago, I received their fiber notebook packet and I’ve been happily plotting this Over The Rainbow Threadventure to share with wonderful Y-O-U ever since. 😉
Vacation season is right around the corner and summer is the perfect time to experiment. I mean – what could be better than thread samples + stitch suggestions that you can use on your needlepoint projects?!
I’ll begin sharing ideas with you right here on the blog; we’ll kick things off on the Thursday after Memorial Day (that’s May 31st!).
Well, if you want to create a fiber notebook with your own set of Rainbow Gallery threads, you need time to order them (and to gather your other supplies). Any local needlework shop that carries Rainbow Gallery threads can order the kit for you – and they should have the other supplies you’ll need, too. Click here to find a shop near you.
Of course, I’d love to have you join the fun whatever kind of thread you choose to use.
And if you don’t have a local needlework shop, you can send me an email. Just click here and let me know that you’re interested in joining the fun, but that you need info on ordering supplies from Serendipity Needleworks. I’ll be happy to help you.
Keep an eye on the Serendipity Needleworks Facebook page for updates and click here to join the Serendipity Needleworks Facebook Group if you’re not already a member. (Why should you join? Well, it’s FREE and I have some surprises up my sleeve for group members. Plus you’ll get to meet other super-terrific folks who share your love of needlepoint!)
Be sure and share this post with your friends that might like to join us. All you have to do is click that little Facebook icon. 😉
And type “I’m IN!” in the comments box below if you’re planning on joining the fun. 🙂
Until next time…happy stitching!
XOXO!!!

May 25, 2018 at 2:54 pmHello,
I have been trying to get in touch with Rainbow Gallery to pick up the Threadventure pack of fibers and I have not had any luck – I have spoken to two needlepoint stores and they do not understand what I am looking for – can you help me get the fibers for the trip!
Thanks so much.
